Prepared for the Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair · RFP #26-07-WEB | Mox Collective
August 7, 2026 · Re: RFP #26-07-WEB — Professional Services, Website Redesign — cloverdalerodeo.com
Dear Mr. Tasaka and Members of the Selection Committee,
Mox Collective is pleased to submit this proposal to redesign and rebuild the Cloverdale Rodeo and Country Fair website. We are a Boise, Idaho creative studio whose research and engineering practice is built around exactly the problem CREA has described: a site that has grown into a large repository of information and now needs to become an immersive event marketing platform — one that moves a fairgoer from discovery to a Showpass checkout without friction, and lets a volunteer-run organization update a hundred artists, dozens of attractions, and seven stages of programming without re-entering anything twice.
Our approach is defined by two commitments to this project:
A methodology rooted in evidence and user behavior. We believe in replacing guesswork with measurable data by training like athletes to master our craft, thinking like creatives to embrace curiosity, and working like engineers to apply rigorous technical solutions. We have eye-tracked how real customers read tiered pricing menus, and we will bring that same discipline to the pathways that carry your visitors to a ticket purchase.
A build calibrated to the Event Window. The Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair happens once a year, and the website cannot fail on the May long weekend. We commit to the November 19, 2026 ticket sale landing page, full launch the week of January 18, 2027, and a support structure — including dedicated direct-phone availability through the Event Window — built for an organization whose busiest five days are the whole point.
We certify that we have carefully examined all RFP documents, fully understand your objectives, and are confident in delivering a modern, accessible, and durable platform for one of British Columbia's most celebrated annual events.

A holistic philosophy that ensures our work delivers maximum impact and integrity — from first research to final launch.
We engage in continuous learning and creative-thinking exercises to build stamina and master our craft — so every project is delivered with peak efficiency and performance.
We embrace curiosity, empathy, and strategic questioning to ensure the final design resonates deeply and ethically with the user.
We apply rigorous, scalable, secure technical solutions — platforms that aren't only beautiful but are engineered for long-term compliance, staff maintainability, and security.
It's not enough to be right; true creativity is about being right at the right time, in the right way, for the right purpose.
Great ideas come from collaboration, curiosity, and vulnerability — not from the fight to be right.
We wrestle with ideas until the right one proves itself. The process is not easy, but it's honest.
Art and design are acts of empathy, rooted in understanding the people at the other end of the message.
We see creativity as an invitation to wonder, to explore, and to ask better questions.
We reject manipulation and value truth. Creativity, when done right, builds trust and community.
Mox was built around the guiding principle “Bigger Than The Bottom Line.” We are dedicated to being a creative changemaker, focusing on authentic, purpose-driven solutions that enrich the lives of our clients, their audiences, and our team — a principle that matters more than usual for a not-for-profit, volunteer-run society whose event outcomes are invested back into the community.
One more thing, offered plainly: we are a Mountain West studio. Rodeo weekend is a cultural institution where we live, too. We understand what “An Original Kind of Country” means to the people it belongs to, and we will treat that heritage as something to amplify, not redecorate.
We propose a seven-person Mox team with proven collaboration across every stage of production — from planning and design through development, WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, and post-launch support. All seven are based in Boise, Idaho.
This team is committed to remaining intact through launch. Should a team member become unavailable, we will immediately provide a replacement of equal or greater expertise at no disruption to the project timeline or budget, subject to CREA's final approval.
Three engagements, chosen because each maps directly to a requirement of this project: a ground-up redesign with content migration and accessibility at scale, third-party integrations that keep the visitor experience cohesive, and behavioral research on how real people read tiered pricing.
We partnered with NCS to redesign a website serving a complex, fragmented organization with multiple brands and audiences, rebuilding the site from the ground up. More than 60 pages of content were migrated into the new platform with custom design templates created for each asset — staff add new assets by filling in defined fields rather than rebuilding layouts, the same structured-content discipline this RFP requires for artists, attractions, venues, and events.
The redesign ensured full WCAG and ADA compliance, working directly with the client's compliance staff, and the new site significantly outperforms industry search benchmarks.
ncswash.comA complete rebrand alongside a new WordPress website serving donors, volunteers, and community partners — with fragmented third-party systems (newsletter marketing, secure donations) integrated so the visitor never felt handed between platforms, and a backend engineered so non-technical staff update resources, manage media, and publish news without a developer.
increase in year-end giving after launch. This is our clearest precedent for the integration challenge in this RFP — keeping the visitor experience cohesive across the boundary between a website and an outside platform, exactly what the Showpass ticket journey, Mailchimp capture, and Google Tag Manager measurement will require.
glocalboise.orgUsing RealEye webcam eye-tracking, we measured exactly where customers engaged with tiered pricing and where “complexity-induced apathy” made them stop reading — participants correctly identified top-package features only 40% of the time in early layouts. We rebuilt the design around information blocking and F-pattern reading flows, exaggerated hierarchy on top-tier packages, and drove participants to start reading almost immediately.
A festival ticket page is a tiered pricing menu. Day passes, weekend passes, rodeo performances with reserved seating, family bundles — the same complexity that stalls a car wash customer stalls a fairgoer deciding what to buy on Showpass. We bring tested, evidence-based conventions for presenting tiered offers, not opinions about them.
Portfolio"An incredible asset — more like internal team members than external contractors."
Laura Moriarity · Creative Director, National Carwash SolutionsThe schedule works forward from the RFP's timetable — notice of award the week of August 10, commencement the week of August 17 — and confirms both required launch dates: the ticket sale landing page and basic presence on November 19, 2026, the full site launch the week of January 18, 2027, and project completion by January 31, 2027. All dates are stated in Pacific Time. Once we are in discovery we will know more about goals, KPIs, and how each audience thinks; the plan deliberately allows time for novel ideas and for the review windows your team needs to give us content and feedback without pressure.
We name your review points explicitly rather than implying them, so your team can plan around them — built around the Event Manager as the primary participant, with targeted sessions on ticketing, email, and analytics scoped so a small staff is never asked to sit through sessions that don't concern them:
On the November 19 milestone: the landing page is not a throwaway. It launches on the new hosting environment, in the new design language, with Showpass, Mailchimp, and GA4 live — so ticket sales, list growth, and measurement begin months before the full site ships, and nothing built for November is discarded in January. Publishing dates, training schedules, and UAT windows are confirmed with CREA at kickoff and tracked in the Client Portal.
Our financial approach is rooted in transparency, predictability, and fiscal responsibility. This is a fixed-fee, not-to-exceed investment of $35,000.00 CAD for the complete scope of design, development, migration, and launch — including the November 19 ticket sale landing page — of the new cloverdalerodeo.com. This reflects our discounted non-profit rate of 15% off our standard fees. All pricing is stated in Canadian dollars, with base-scope, implementation-flexible, and optional items identified distinctly, as the RFP directs.
Milestone billing, Net 30, in five equal payments of $7,000.00 CAD: 20% at contract signing, 20% at approval of the visual designs, 20% at launch of the November 19 ticket sale landing page, 20% at deployment of the staging environment, and 20% immediately following full site launch. A ninety-day post-launch warranty follows full site launch, during which all maintenance and support is included in the contract price.
Launch-week technical support is included in the project fee for both launch windows — November 19 and the full site in January — not billed separately, and not conditional on a support agreement. If a major structural change or a new functional requirement falls outside this scope, we write a clear change order describing the work, its schedule impact, and its cost; we never perform or bill out-of-scope work without your signed approval. Consistent with RFP Section 4.10, upon project completion CREA retains ownership of all website source code, content, creative assets, configuration, and administrative access, along with hosting, domains, DNS, SSL certificates, and related accounts. Mox carries general liability and professional services insurance suitable for this scope and will provide certificates before work begins.
| Period | Coverage |

The Cloverdale Rodeo & Country Fair has spent 138 years becoming one of British Columbia's most celebrated community events, and the years since its return have been years of remarkable growth — more artists, more stages, more attractions, more reasons to attend than the current website can hold. The job is not to invent a story. It is to tell one that is already true, clearly enough that a rodeo fan, a concert-goer, a parent planning a family day, a food-truck operator, and a first-time volunteer can each find what they came for — and buy the ticket while they're at it.
You can expect the discipline of athletes, the rigor of engineers, and the heart of creatives who care about whoever is on the other end of the screen. You can also expect us to be straight with you when something is harder than it looks, when a request will not serve your audiences, and when we do not know something yet. We have tried to do that throughout this proposal.
We appreciate the work your volunteers and staff put into this event every year, and we sincerely want to partner alongside you as it grows. Thank you for the opportunity.
